 The Maryland Association of Teacher Educators is committed to recognizing the work in teacher preparation and teacher development which involves P-12 teachers, staff development specialists and university faculty. All those who engage in this work are considered teacher educators whether they are school or university-based.  As the state unit of the national Association of Teacher Educators, MATE is committed to improving the quality of teacher preparation and teacher professional development. This brochure is designed to acquaint you with the activities of our organization and the resources available to you in your teacher education role. We hope that you will join our efforts!
